Students should have completed their writing assessment this week retelling the story of the goldfish and the gray cat. Grades will be available for all classes by Monday. Students have been working on how to ask and respond to how someone is doing this week. They also sang more songs to continue to develop various new vocabulary. Students learned the Los pollitos dicen song this week in story form as well. This is a children's song in Spanish-speaking countries. Today (or Monday) students will be working on a presentation about themselves in Google Presentation. It will be due Thursday or Friday of next week. They have the Estudiante del día page on the website here to guide them through it. The presentations will be used in class, as we talk about the topics included, but in reference to students in the class to learn more about one another. Each day there will be a different student interviewed. Students will be assessed on the information, but will be able to use their notes when completing the assessment.
Next week we will also be working on vocabulary for things students like and dislike doing and we will begin a new story later in the week- el gato bilingüe. We will also continue to begin class with children's stories, sing songs, work on speaking an begin the student of the day presentations.
