Students in Spanish 1B continue to read independently books of their choice and complete reading responses daily. Grades for them are recorded weekly. Most students have read at least two short level 1 novels and some students have read 4. Students read for about 15 minutes at the beginning of each class. Students have also been working on the new story Irene through some interactive independent and in class practice. We have also been working with the song Vivir mi vida by Marc Anthony. We have been singing other songs to review conjugations for verbs and the grammatical structure to talk about where you are going in order to converse about making plans. Next week we will get further into the story of Irene and work with reading comprehension and retelling the story.
Students completed an assessment on Mafalda last week and got the tests back earlier this week. Please check the gradebook to make sure your child's grades are up to date. Students can find all posts about class and homework in Google Classroom . They log in with their school email address. |
