New Learning
This week students reviewed feelings we commonly use like I am hungry, tired, thirsty, etc. within the context of a dialogue about not feeling well (2B). We practiced the vocabulary in various interactive ways, including some songs, actions and games outside. We also added a few verbs to our story telling vocabulary. Students began to work on body parts which we will continue next week. We also sang many songs this week to work on topics like colors, days of the week, greetings, body parts, and more! The Monday/Wednesday class took a test today and the grades are in the grade book. After the test they engaged in choice activities related to topics we are working on. Please contact me with any questions or concerns about your child's progress! Next week we will continue work with Dialogue 2C and body parts, as well as continue with reading comprehension through story telling vocabulary
Many students are really enjoying the website www.duolingo.com or the App version of the site available for free on Android or Apple devices. If your child has not tried it out, it is a nice complement to what we are learning in class and is tailored to your child's individual progress.
