Students this week completed the assessment for the Celebrations and Family unit. You will start seeing scores for those tests (oral, written, and culture) as I complete the grading. Oral assessment scores are there for all students who completed it.
We are beginning a unit on descriptions of self and others, including family. Students will be learning the stem-changing verb "venir" (to come) and the conjugations for the two verbs in Spanish that mean "to be" as well as how to know when to use which verb. We will continue to work on core skills of speaking, reading, writing, listening and cultural understanding as they pertain to the topics.
Important!: Please send $1 with your child to cover the cost of the sweet bread and hot chocolate that we will be trying for Day of the Dead.
If you child is using Duolingo, please ask them to "follow" me on it (abuttner) so I can see how they are progressing!
