Students this week continued to read their choice novel for 10-15 a class period and respond to a question about their reading. These are in the grade book weekly. I am enjoying reading about the connections students are finding to the books. Students are also in the process of editing a first draft of the pez dorado y el gato gris story. There is a Google presentation on the linked page that has the original story, as well as one below that shows student work. We spent time discussing what good writers do and students were asked to review the presentation to find ideas from their peers before completing the final copy which will be graded. We also began working on the Escuelas en el mundo unit that will look at schools and students around the world through various lessons and activities.
